Our mission statement

Saint Timothy's is a Spiritual Sanctuary where all are accepted and allowed to be themselves. We are a community committed to Worship, Christian education, and reaching out to care for the needs of our neighbors.

The people of Saint Timothy's hold this mission statement close to our hearts. We all come from different walks of life and each of us has our own walk with Jesus. Together, we worship within the tensions of diverse culture, backgrounds, theology, and all the things that make us unique children of God.

Celebrating Past, Present, and Future

A history is not composed of isolated events fashioned into a linear timeline. A history is made up of memories blended into a rich identity that weaves us into who we are and who are to be.

Liturgical

Liturgy can best be defined as the work of the people in service of the divine. This work manifests in the liturgical season where we walk alongside Jesus from his birth to the resurrection. This work is also present in our worship where we engage all our senses hearing and responding to the word of God and participating in Holy Communion.

We celebrate the good times together and cry together in the challenging times. For together we are the 'Body of Christ' who does so for the ever-so-near Kingdom of God.

The Nicene Creed

We believe in one God, the father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,
begotten not made, of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made.
For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven:
by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man.
For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate he suffered death and was buried.
On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.

We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
and the life of the world to come. Amen.

The Lord's prayer

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
